After suspecting a conspiracy is afoot, Elle and her friends get detention to gain access to school records to prove their case. The proximity heightens her romantic tensions with her crush and exposes a past relationship that had been kept.

For once in their relationship, Elle and her mum fail to see eye-to-eye on a tricky situation, causing Elle to question her moral compass. Elle bets on her own instincts, to stand up against an injustice. Harkening to what she becomes in the movie.
Episode 8
What, Like It's Hard
After Elle is exposed to her school in a negative light, she runs away from her problems and escapes to the comfort of her old life. She enrolls in her dream internship and meets a personal hero, but when everything feels too easy.
